Exciting new opportunity in Procurement for a dynamic freight forwarder!

Our client, a leading provider of international cargo transportation services, is looking for a savvy
individual to develop and oversee the Company's import and export air freight services and pricing.   

Responsibilities Include:
Negotiate, sign and manage all service contracts/airfreight rate agreements.
Research market conditions and competitors' rates and services.   
Work with Pricing Team to provide a robust air freight product to clients. 
Participate in bids, tenders and RFQs as necessary.  
Provide guidance and information to colleagues in pricing and carrier-related matters. 
Maintain relationships with representatives from airlines, agents and other vendors.
Understand shipment volume and frequency requirements in order to obtain space and best rates.

Requirements:
Experience in NVOCC/freight forwarding air product development, negotiations, management and pricing. 
Knowledge of international air transportation services and carriers for major inbound and outbound trades. 
Ability to interpret quotes, surcharges and terms, and clearly communicate same to colleagues and clients.  
Leadership, communication, computer and organizational skills.
